Pankhida Root of Raas 2026 is an eleven-night Navratri celebration in Ahmedabad — a Pre-Navratri night on 9 October, then ten nights from 11 to 20 October. Every night begins at 8:00 PM and goes on until 6:00 AM.
What does the name mean?
Pankhida is the folk song that has carried Gujarati garba for generations — the one almost everyone on the ground already knows, whether or not they could name it. Root of Raas is a return to that source: the circle, the beat and the steps that came before the sound systems and the choreography.
When is Pankhida Root of Raas 2026?
Eleven nights in total. A Pre-Navratri opening on 9 October 2026, then ten consecutive nights from 11 to 20 October. Each night runs 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM — ten hours, which makes these among the longest garba nights in Ahmedabad this year.
