About the Event
Nobody has seen Baba Yaga in a very long time. The forests have gone quiet, and the old stories say she's the one who guards them. Come help us call her back. Who is Baba Yaga? She's a witch from Slavic folklore, a crooked old woman who lives deep in the forest in a hut that stands on chicken legs. Some tales make her a menace who eats the careless, others a wise guardian who tests the brave and rewards those who pass. She's always been a figure of the in-between: the wild, the ancient, the thing you're told not to wander toward after dark. Tonight the theme is ritual. We're gathering to summon her back through storytelling, folk-horror atmosphere, and a little bit of chaos. Come dressed for the forest.
